October 24 used to seem sooooooooo far away when Disney released the High School Musical release date, and then POOF! It’s only six months away!! Want some ideas on how to keep totally PSYCHED about the movie until then? Read on!!
APRIL
Attention Lucas Grabeel fans: HSMusicalWeb.org and Cold Spark Films have a contest for all the fans of Lucas’ new movie, “The Adventures of Food Boy”! Send a message to mica@hsmusicalweb.org or to gabriel@hsmusicalweb by April 30 what you expect from the movie and why you should win the prizes. You could win an autographed photo by Lucas Grabeel, Brittany Curran (The Suite Life of Zach and Cody), Kunal Sharma and Jeff Braine AND a Food boy t-shirt. THIS SUNDAY starts a cool promotion over at Toys R Us! From April 27 to May 3, get $20 off “High School Musical: Sing It!” for the Wii with the purchase of Mariokart. In store only, but a total bargain!
While you’re checking out video games, pick up the JUST released High School Musical 2:Work this Out! for Nintendo DS. The game puts you in the middle of Lava Springs country club with mini-games and challenges and a special “jukebox” mode that plays the soundtrack to the movie even when your DS is closed. Cool!

Remember last year around this time when the web buzzed with rumors of Zac Efron as SPEED RACER?? Me too (sigh.) Sadly, someone else filled those awesome racing boots, but go see the movie anyway May 9!

Tempe June 24-29. (I get to go on my BIRTHDAY June 26! YAY!!) Buy tickets here but hurry!
Since filming should wrap by June 13, I expect we’ll get some kind of track listing leak. Will it be anywhere close to the speculated list from January? We’ll have to wait and see! Here’s the rumored lineup:

JULY
See Ashley Tisdale in “Picture This” on DVD July 22! Ashley stars in this teen comedy as Mandy, an unpopular high school senior who lands a date to the biggest party of the year with Drew, the school’s hottest guy. But while her dreams are finally coming into focus, with the help of her friends, she’ll have to battle her overprotective dad and Drew’s ex-girlfriend, who’s determined to keep Mandy away from the bash. In one crazy, adventure-filled day, Mandy strives to get to the party and discovers that popularity can come and go, but good friends will always be in the picture!

AUGUST
Head to the movie theater August 15 to laugh along with Zac Efron in “17 again,” a movie about a guy whose life didn’t quite turn out how he wanted it to and wishes he could go back to high school and change it. He wakes up one day and is seventeen again and gets the chance to rewrite his life.
SEPTEMBER
With one month to go, go back and rewatch High School Musical and High School Musical 2! Invite friends over, make cool crafts (like the foam activity set above), have a fashion show worthy of Sharpay’s sassy style or just sing along!
There’s no release date for Corbin Bleu’s motocross movie “Free Style” but stay tuned to the official website for more details and check out behind the scenes photos here.
