Check it out, between now and this FRIDAY, Jan. 18, Nickelodeon is holding the first ever Kid’s primary! Just go to http://www.nick.com/kpp/ and read all about the candidates. After you cast a vote, you’ll get a message saying whether you voted Democrat or Republican. Then watch Nick News Friday to see who won!
And go bother your parents to read the website too, I found the website really useful! It features nuggets of information about each candidate, where they stand on issues and other trivia. The site also features a calendar for all the national primaries and even a section explaining primaries, caucuses, conventions and more! Cool!
Did you know? Kids voting through Nickelodeon have predicted the next President for four out of the last five national elections!
A second special, Kids Pick the Issues, will premiere in March and will feature a discussion with kids about the issues and policies that matter to them. In the October Kids Pick the President special, the final candidates will answer kids’ questions and then kids will be encouraged to go online and vote.
